"Teju Jagua is the first son of Tau and Kerana, part of the 7 Legendary Monsters of Guarani Mythology, known as “The Lord of the Caves” and the guardian of the fruits.
It‘s described as a giant lizard with 7 dog heads and flaming eyes. Despite its threatening appearance, its ferocity was tempered by Tupan's choice. He was calm and harmless, though still feared by his burning gaze. He can‘t move very well, perhaps because of his large size and his 7 heads.
He feeds on fruits and his favorite food is honey, and is also considered the monster that protects the hidden treasures from Guarani Tribe. It‘s said that his skin shines like gold and precious stones after he rolls under these riches.
His dwelling is between the abyss of the legendary hill of Yaguarón, in Paraguay, and the Jarau hill, in Rio Grande do Sul state, where Brazil borders Uruguay.”
